You can hit good shots. So why does the same score keep coming back?
A bucket of balls can feel productive. But if you never change targets, make a decision or give a shot a consequence, you're missing part of the game.
This group brings those pieces together. Work on the skill, aim it somewhere useful, then test it when the score matters.
A head full of tips. No clear priority.
Find a useful focus for your game and a practice task you can actually repeat.
Range confidence that disappears on the first tee.
Build a simple routine and practise changing targets, choosing clubs and resetting after a poor shot.
A good round slipping away under pressure.
Use scoring games and friendly competition to rehearse committing to a shot when it counts.
Your questions, answered
Do I need to be a competitive golfer already?
No. This group welcomes beginners, returning golfers and players who want to become more competitive. The difficulty of the targets and scoring games is adapted to your starting point.
Will this help me lower my scores?
That is the goal: connect better contact, smarter targets and a useful routine to the shots that matter. Progress depends on your starting point, practice and play. No specific score, handicap reduction or win is promised.
Is this a one-to-one lesson?
No. It is a coached group of up to six players, with individual feedback within the session. If you need a fully individual programme, speak to Matt before booking.
Do I need a £75 assessment first?
No separate paid assessment is required for this six-week group. We establish your starting point during the programme. Individual coaching is a separate offer.
What equipment do I need?
Bring your clubs if you have them. Session balls, bay time and loan clubs are included. Wear comfortable clothing and secure footwear, and bring water.
Are sessions on the golf course?
This block takes place at Just Play Golf’s range. Target games and scoring challenges bring decision-making into practice. On-course sessions are not included.
What happens if I miss a session?
These are six fixed dates. A private replacement lesson is not included; Matt can explain the missed practice task. Ask for the full booking terms before paying.
Can a 16- or 17-year-old join?
Yes. A parent/carer must provide consent and contact details. Matt will agree the appropriate attendance and collection arrangements before the first session.
